The decision...
2 more days before I head back!! I don't think I'm able to get on the 8ish flight in the morning, so it'll be a afternoon flight then. & a mad rush to my cousin's wedding.
I can't wait to be back even though it's a short 1 week before I move over to Manila for 2 years. Yes, the secret's out. Okay, not that much of a secret, but yea. Not many people know & now I'm declaring it here.
I'm being posted overseas (to Manila) for 2 years starting 1st of May. This explains why I'm always in the Philippines. I've been on 2 business trips so far (yea, chalking up KrisFlyer miles & more to come as I'll be flying back pretty often to see my family) & this is my last business trip here before I come out as an expatriate here in Manila.
I love the place the office is located cos the place is so Western & as some of you may know, I love Western stuff. Throw me in Aussie anytime & I'll feel at home. Gosh, how I miss down under!!
Okay, so anyway I don't have much time to meet everyone I wanna meet during the week I'm back (i.e. next week). I won't be in the office 'cept for Monday to clear my table, update my expenses & basically to attend a tax departure meeting with Ernst & Young. So, anyone who wants to meet up with me, please set a date now so that I can play around with my schedule.
On a separate note, there are so many things to do when settling in. But at least I'm halfway there. Yay!
1. Find a place to stay [In the midst of confirming the contract for both parties] Secured!!
2. Setup a bank account with HSBC (dual currency) Check!
3. Buy some necessary appliances/furniture/nitty-gritty for my new pad
4. Find a part-time househelp
I'm so glad tomorrow's Friday. Can't wait for the weekends.
