The fact that they couldn't find each other before Colin died was the saddest thing about that episode. He seemed such an interesting character and he would have been an amazing foil for Maura. Also, I'm missing my brother loads at the moment so that episode got me right in the feels.

Mm, lovely hinted at Jane/Maura. The idea of them dancing together is so good. They'd look beautiful in a sea of boring suits. Maura has such flare and I could completely buy her dressing to look like a butterfly.

Is that some hinted at Frost/Frankie I see in there?

I agree, I think Colin could have been so promising as a character. He uses his genius for the other side of the law. It'd have been fascinating to watch them bond with one another over their similarities and compromise their differences. Alas. :(

Maura definitely would. She loves to dress up and she'd make Jane dazzle a bit, too. They'd be gems among the coals. Also, yup, a little bit of Frost/Frankie and some Colin/Beckett, his hacker partner, too. Although, that kid was a jerk and got him killed.

I'm glad you enjoyed it, bb, and that you're enjoying the show. Its characters are wonderful. :D ♥

It is a shame. I can see why they did it, but at the same time there was so much they could have done with it. Also, the possibility of Frankie/Colin. *shameless*

That kid was such a jerk. How could he get Colin killed? (Is Colin going to become our Adam in R&I now? We can have fix-it fic where he lives and sets his sister up with her awesome best friend.)

I am really loving the show. Thank you for pointing me in the direction.

Ooh, I could dig Frankie/Collin. *___* The Doyles are Rizzoli-sexual. There's also Tommy Rizzoli, who's cute, I suppose, but he gets in trouble an awful lot and Colin probably wouldn't be a good influence. XD

...Maybe. We have even less to work with than Adam, but I was already thinking of writing a fic where 16 year old Colin goes looking for Maura after a year of living with their mob boss father. He knows their relationship, she doesn't, and yet she's really drawn to him. ...I have problems.

He would definitely set her up with Jane, though, and I imagine his personality being a bit like Neal Caffrey in White Collar - suave artist, thief and genius.

Again, no prob. I love sharing fandoms. ♥♥♥

And Jane would want to know what Colin's intentions were towards her little brother. She wouldn't trust a con. I haven't got to Tommy yet. He's been mentioned but he's not appeared.

Not problems. Beautiful, beautiful ideas that need to be nurtured.

Yes, I imagined him being a bit like Neal! He was obviously so smart, managing to find a way to get his murderers' voice recorded. I feel so sad now, for what might have been.

Colin would be a little amused by Jane's protectiveness of not just her family, but Maura, who is, in different ways, both their families, but of course Colin would never hurt his sister. It's my headcanon that all his crimes involved money, but unlike his father, he never physically hurt/killed anyone. ...You are an enabler. Call it 'nurturer' if you like, but yeah. XD

I know. I'll never not be sad...unless he somehow faked his death? Mob boss's sons do that, right? RIGHT? He would totally be like Neal, sans the hat. And maybe sometimes there are hats, so he and Maura can gush about weird accessories that Jane rolls her eyes at, lololol.

Yes, I think they made it clear on the show that he was a thief, but not violent. I wonder what it was like, growing up around his father and his father's cronies. I wonder if that made him chose to be non-violent.

I've watched too much Supernatural because I've kept thinking to myself "An ice-pick to the brain, he'll come back from that!" They do fake their deaths. He's smart enough to hack the results.

`Oh, they could go shopping together and Jane could be bored.

I wouldn't be surprised if it had. Paddy Doyle's rather callous with human life. If he only killed to protect his children, that's one thing, but he doesn't, and that has to be a horrifying thing for a teenager to find out, after never so much as knowing his father's name and his mother dying.

He could definitely hack the results. However, he spent all that time on the autopsy table, and Maura lamented their shared features. Maybe if the car exploded and his corpse was charred, it could later be revealed that it wasn't even him? WHY ISN'T THIS SUPERNATURAL? :(

...NEED MOAR FIC.
