Adam’s told his brother Dean enough times that working in a hospital is nothing like an episode of Dr. Sexy. Adam might be a nurse but his uniform is practical, it doesn’t fall open alluringly when he’s bending over patients to check their bandages. He works long hours, a normal shift pattern sees him working eighteen hour and Adam would like to see anyone ready to have a torrid love affair with the staff surgeon and the hot amnesiac patient when they’re practically falling down on their feet. If anyone starts seeing the ghosts of former patients it means they need sleep, not that they’re about to learn a moral lesson ( ... )

This melted my brain. It was unbearably hot, how Adam offered himself to Michael, and I love the minute details about Dean's fascination with Doctor Sexy and why Adam couldn't become a doctor. Just, yeah, perfection.

I apparently can't write PWP without including outside details. People don't have sex in a vacuum, unless they do, and I think those extra bits make the characters.

I'm exactly like that, hon, don't worry. I love the little details that shape the world outside of a PWP. I think that's why I don't write PWPs too often; I get caught up in those, lol.

I have no idea but I do too. I wonder if it's because they're being used for the wrong reason and anyone could come along at any moment, wanting to use them for the correct reason and there's always the threat of discovery?
