Prefunctory: done routinely
Word of the day, as in, lj used to be prefunctory for me on a weekly basis. But as you can see I haven't updated in about two months and I thought it was about time to considering our annual AX trip is coming up and I would like to give you guys a bit of an update since I last posted. Let the updating begin...
...NOW:
April: Not a whole lot of activity in April other than Easter which was just a BBQ with both sets of parents at Trish and Eddies house, very yummy and entertaining. Only other things worth mentioning about April are that weekend following Easter Kerri and I went out of town with friends of ours on Saturday and Sunday but let start with Saturdays events.
Saturday April 14, 2007: Woke up around 9am, did our respective morning routines (I love having 2 bathrooms no waiting for Kerri anymore LoL) jumped in the car and congratgated at Ronnie and Mike's. Once we got there we were presented with a late wedding present form the gang there, they pooled their money and bought us a nice gas BBQ grill, we've already used it several times (btw guys we love it and Kerri is getting better at grilling the more he cooks on it). So that was a very nice start to the day, then we all jumped into the cars had a late breakfast at the Farmer Bros. out here in Indio and then headed to Puenta Hills for the Toy Show. We spent a good few hours there just wandering around goofing off and making purchases and leaving just as most of the vendors were cleaning up their booths. Afterwards we drove to the Puenta Hills mall and wandered around there for a bit where I bought myself som old fashioned cheese popcorn and a Dippin' Dots Parfait, very tastey. Getting weary of walking around we all when to Claim Jumpers down the way and had a some drinks and a wonderful dinner where we all just talked and laughed. After that Ronnie and the rest wanted to try riding the Go-Karts nearby drunk but Kerri and I were tired and wanted to get home and off the freeway before dark hit, no such luck, but I managed to stay awake to keep Kerri awake for the drive home. When we got home we just relaxed for a few hours and went to bed because again we were gettign up early the next day. Which segways into...
Sunday April 15, 2007: Woke up a 10 am this time and called Jessica to make sure her and Adam were ready and waiting for us to drop by pick them up and head out to the Ren Faire. Took about 2 hours of driving time though cool weather, rain, and a fender bender with a Mercedes. Don't worry it was just that a fender bender, we have traffic and wet brakes to thank for that but the only damage that was cause was her car had a couple of scratches on the bumper from the screws in Kerri's license plate frame. Got that info swap done and over with and headed on our way again made it to faire around 1pm and just wandered around enjoy the scene and the company had an aweome lunch at the feast and saw a couple of shows and played "Pelt the Privateer" which our friend was the privateer, only one of us got remotely close to him and that was Kerri, so the insults flew but it was all in good fun. We stuck around there for a bit and listened and laughed at his insults for the people gathering around, got to go backstage and talk to him for a bit and said our goodbyes and headed out. Had to make a stop at a Denny's about an hour into the drive home because Kerri needed some coffee he was falling asleep driving, not good, so we went in sat down and waited...and waited...and waited...and waited...and waited for about an hour before they decided to finally come and take our order. Then we waited some more before deciding to say fuck it and go home becasue it took them the better part of an hour to finally manage to give us our food and when we did get it everybodies fries were cold and yucky. When we finally finished and piled back in the car and got back in town it was well after 9pm. Good thing both Kerri and I still had one more day off before we had to get back to work and that day was spent sleeping in and doing pretty much nothing as far as I remember.

All right now onto the month of...
...May: Lots of things of note for the month of May. We saw 3 great movies starting with Spiderman 3, which we thought was aweome non-stop action for me I found it hard to get up and go to the bathroom so I held it 'til afterwards. It was nice to see all our friends again, Then two weeks after that my dad and Kerri's step-dad Eddie decided to go to the races and that Saturday my mom, Trish, Kerri, and I decided to go see Shrek the Third and have dinner at Red Robin. The movie was good but I didn't laugh as much in this as we did when we saw Shrek 2, it was still good though. Then the following week it was Kerri's b-day on wednesday nothing special was done on that particular day except we had Kerri's favorite dinner at his mom and Eddie's. We would be following up with his b-day celebration on Saturday the 26th. Well on the saturday of his party Kerri and I went home after work cleaned up and headed to his mom and Eddie's where my folks were already there and waiting so Kerri got to open their presents before the party goers arrived. After Eddie finished his radio show was when everyone started showing up and he grilled up some burgers and the rest of the night was spent boozing, eating, talking, and getting a special perfomance of the Berries and Cream starburst commercial from the M.O.D.'s very own "Pestcide" or Jerry for those who don't remember our nicknames. Needless to say we all had a blast and Kerri and I were the last to go to bed around 5am. Woke up on Sunday had some kickass breakfast burritos and headed home and relaxed for a bit after refreshing ourselves from the nights feastivities and headed out to The River and finally got to see Pirates, I FUCKING LOVED IT. Afterwards we decided to mee tour friends Moose and Chad at Lampost for dinner and converstation. In the midst of the conversation we all decided to wander around Wal-Mart for an hour or so and goof there and in the parking lot for awhile. That night we didn't get home 'til after midnight. Sat up for a bit and let ourselves unwind and went to bed and slept ing ht enext and did absolutely nothing.
Now it's June and we are counting down the days to AX. I have a good feeling about this years, they've changed venues back to Long Beach now and I haven't been to it when it was there yet and things have been built up since AX was there last. The only driving we will be doing there is the first day when we arrive otherwise we will be walking everywhere since most of the good resturants are in and around the area we are staying. Another great thing about AX this year is it starts on on my B-day adn there is an Irish Pub across the way from our hotel so I will be gettign drunk and being a nerd and having a blast. Damn I can't wait only 21 days to go before my vacation starts and we head to the LBC for the ultimate American Nerd Fest it's going to be awesome.
But back to this week nothing special going on atm but I am finally getting 3 days off in a row after working 7 days staright and I have already acomplished sleeping in today and now I am updating my lj for your guys' entertainment. Tomorrow is a day of being out I need to get my hair trimmed to start off and them I am going to do the girly thing and shop with my mom, As for Thursday I am going to sleep in again and probably get some stuff done around here that I don't get done today. Anyhow I think I'm going to wrap this up and either watch the original Night of the Living Dead of play on the computer a lil' longer.
