First Student

Hiya,
Well its been a crazy month. My first student has been dedicated and he's a great guy who's very eager to learn the Craft. So the Coven of the Obsidian Orcas has its very first member.

But enough about that. There's recently been a bad wind of confusion on LJ in the SV fandom. And I found it interesting that the story I had posted in a comm that went down as a result I had recently posted all 40 chapters to my LJ. Why? I had a feeling.

Having a feeling. It happens all the time. Luckily being in the craft for awhile I've learned to listen to that feeling, even if it means dropping everything I've been doing. Over the years I guess its become second nature to me of "oh I better put that away someone will look for it" or "I think I should take the back roads" or "maybe I should fill the tank this time". Each time there has been a reason.

So I've been finding myself asking...what's the reason behind taking on a student? Is it just to expand the Craft?

No. As I watch/listen/read to my student I am heartened by his sheer enthusiasm. The past 5 years in the Craft have not been easy by any means. But to see the light in his eyes as he talks to me about having a 'feeling' or running across his totem? Priceless.

Recently I've been feeling tremendously old and despondent. Goddess sent me a youthful and eager student. She knew just what I needed. May I teach him what he needs.

We are a circle within a circle, with no beginning and never ending!
Blessed be,
Lady Keikokin
