Things I need to do today

Oct 27, 2008 13:08

  • Make appointment to refill my meds
  • Finish the shopping list
  • Make a post for my RPG (possibly two of them)
  • Clean room
  • Sweep basement
  • email the Humane Society and tell them I will be late (because of item 1)
  • Find missing library book

So that's one thing down. This list originally should have contained "make appointment for my knees, but it appears I will be able to do that online, but it'll take a few days since I haven't selected a primary care physician yet. I've selected one now, but it'll be up to 3 days before i get confirmation and can make an appointment. I could make an appointment sooner by calling... but my knees aren't going anywhere. I'm dragging my feet about going in because i'm pretty sure I know how it's going to play out... I'll go in, they'll ask a bunch of questions, maybe take a few x-rays and then I'll be diagnosed with osteoarthritis and have to live with it the rest of my life... lik sirisly, i'm too you for this stuff. Maybe i'll get a shot of cortazone to help with the pain, but that's only temporary. At least i figured out for my self that it's not rheumatoid arthritis, which i was afraid of for a while given how often i get swollen lymph nodes, but rheumatoid arthritis tends to bother you in the morning and osteoarthritis bothers you at night, and that's when it bothers me most. Oh, well i've known this was coming for years, ever since that physical therapist herd my knees grind and winced... even before that. What I really need is to loose some weight... i'm pretty sure that's why the pain went away before, but the problem is that the more trouble they give me the harder it is to exercise. And i gained that weight back a year or two ago, so I don't know why it's bothering me now instead of then. Someone pointed out that its probably seattle's weather... they're probably right *sigh*

BTW, the appointment i have made is at the downtown clinic... I was afraid it would be in the same building as the invisable!pharmacy... but it's a diffrent adress and the receptionist gave me details, such as which floor it's on (IT'S ON THE 14th FLOOR OMG!) so hopefuly it should be possible to find. I can even get there with takeing only one bus, as long as i'm willing to walk a half mile... under normal conditions, that would be no big deal, but in seattle you never know what you might get ;) ) It's only two days away, so i don't really have time to scope it out... (note that the only reason for this aside was so that i could use my invisable!blank tag again.

also note that when i make an lj entry about all the stuff i have to do that day it means I AM PUTTING OFF DOING THE STUFF!!!

OMG TEH MAIL'S HERE!

note to self, adventures in public transportation, oh! my acheing knees!, invisible!blank, world procrastination championships, health
