I installed GIMP because I wasn't sure if my ancient copy of Photoshop Essentials would work with vista or not. I've used GIMP before but I could never really figure it out... but all of the sudden its making sense. I might not even bother trying to install Essentials.

I'm still a little bummed about The Sims, I uninstalled everything and tried again but had the same problem. It just keeps getting slower and slower and then it freezes. I think it probably had to do with graphics cards... the maxis site said that The Sims 2 runs well on vista as long as you've got the right graphics card... I wonder if the original sims would work... probably not. I'm going to get a copy of The Sims Life Stories... but I'm afraid I'll be rather dissapointed.  It sounds simular to the sims that they've come out with for console games and those just arn't the same. Its worth a shot though... i guess. It doens't need a graphics car so at least it'll run...

Last night i was streached out on my bed typeing (I can do that now!) and Pooky was laying by my feet. When i shut the computer down I noticed she wasn't there anymore but i heard her in the hall way. I look out my door and here she comes down the hall with fluffy bit of her teaser wand in her mouth and the rest of it dragging behind, she dragged it all the way up the stairs! Do you think that was a hint? She's brought her toys upstairs before when she wanted me to play with her, but never anything that big.

Oh! The best part of my new computer? Windows Movie Maker actualy works!!! Anytime i've encountered it before it only sort of worked. I could work with pictures and vidioclips from my camera or from the sims, but not from anywhere else... and even then it liked to crash at random times. So even though I"ve lost the sims as a time wasteing creative outlet I can now waste time with windows move maker.
