Where's a fly swatter when you need one...

We are having a problem with the freshly woken up bees today, Ky sucked one up with the vacuum cleaner earlier and Kevin tried to take care of two more with hairspray. We know we have a flyswatter somewhere, in fact we should have several, but darned if we can find one now. Any way, eventually i just captured them in a glass and let them out side, as much as i hate to resort to nonviolence with bees, its much easier than trying to kill them any other way.

We were supposed to do "spring cleaning" today, but i suppose it was too warm for any of us to feel like doing anything. Its eighty in the shade and coming straight out of weather thats in the teens or worse, that comes as a bit of a shock. I did most of the dishes and kevin and izzy each dried a few, and izzy swept the floor, and that's about all that got done. Oh, and i cleaned out the fridge *shudders*.

Ky and I went to walmart earlier today and i bought some brats so we can have beer brats, they're on the grill right now. none of us have ever cooked on charcoal, except for that once and that was using the stuff where you just light the little bag of charcoal on fire, so it took us a few tries to get the stuff going, as did our neighbor who was trying to light up her little charcoal grill at the same time, she usually used the "matchlight" stuff, but her boyfriend or whoever had bought the regular stuff, so i let her use some lighter fluid and some matches (she was going to use a lighter) and it took her three tries as well, in fact i'm not entirely sure hers is going or not.

I've actually read a couple of books in the last couple weeks, which is surprising, since I've been having real trouble getting my self to read, for school or for pleasure for quite some time. One was called "Vulcan!" which was a quick read, and read a bit like a fanfic instead of a novel, but it was enjoyable enough i guess. The other was "mind meld" (yes, i'm no a Vulcan kick atm)and i enjoyed that quite a bit, even though the premise is a bit questionable.

Well I better get the beer heating for the brats...

brats, bees, weather, the apartment, books
