My oldest brother and his family came over tonight for dinner. Kevin and Lexy and I had a hoot after dinner. Kevin and Lexy have this running joke about Kevin eating crayons. So Kevin kept asking Lexy where the crayons were... I wanted a drink so i started telling Kevin that the crayons were in the fridge next to my drink, and that if he went to the fridge to get me a drink, he would surely find them. Alexia looked at me with one of her "you can't be serious" Looks, so i leaned over and whispered to her that it was a trick. she said Oh then turned to Kevin and told him that they were defiantly in the fridge. After a while, Kevin, ever the psychology student, decided to start running experiments on her. First he started asking her various questions while keeping eye contact while she answered them, then he'd suddenly ask her where the crayons were, to see how her eyes shifted when she lied. Then he decided to ask her a bunch of simple questions with numerical answers then suddenly ask "how many roads must a man walk down." But he wound up asking "how many men must a road walk up." "None!" she declared then all three of us started cracking up. Then Kevin told her that she would make a very good psychology student some day. and then he asked her what she wanted to be when she grew up. She said she wanted to be a Mermaid. I remembered what Kevin had told me about implanted memories, so i told alexia that if she kept asking "Hey Kevin, Do you remember that time i was a Mermaid?" that eventually he would think he remembered it. Of course that got Kevin going, "Hey Alexia, do you remember that time we were at the cabin and we saw a bear?" But Lexy threw him for a loop when she remembered something he had forgotten and said "Nooooooo! That was a LOG!" (our other brother had tried to convince her that this log that was floating in the river was a bear.) Most kids that age are fun to tease like this because they are gullible and you can convince them just about anything, but not Alexia... you can't fool her. :D
