I would *so* like to make my LJ look better, but I have NO clue on how to make something so fancy and beautiful as some people have. Is it just HTML or do you need to know some fancy CGI-scripts or something else that I have no clue about? Can I use Frontpage to make a nice layout for my LJ or what?

Please, tell me.

If you told me what you wanted, I might be able to do somethign for you.

The code for LJ is based on HTML, but it's a bit harder to do than HTML, because it has all these scripts in there. I'm not sure what kind.

Oh, that would be neat. Right now I have no idea what I'd like, but I would like to have something that's a little more personalized than what's there right now. I'll look around a bit and let you know. Thanks for offering! It doesn't have to be very fancy, but ... personal, y'know?

Gosh, I love them all. I think I like #7 best, mostly because it fit the resolution on my computer perfectly. I don't like when I have to scroll sideways.

Um. I would love it if you'd do a layout for me, but I'd like it to be kinda slashy, would you mind that terribly? I know you aren't into that at all ...

Since I won't have to write slash to make a layout for you, I'm sure I'll be fine. :)

So, start thinking about what picture you'd like, what color scheme you'd prefer, etc. Hurrah!

Hey there,

Sorry I didn't get back to you immediately, but I had to think a little about this, and I think I have two thoughts.

Purple/lilac/black color scheme with lilac backgrounds and black text perhaps? I'd rather have dark text on light background anyway.

And ... the other thought is sort of gold/brown/sepia colors.

What kind of images are we talking about? Any image? I'm not quite sure. How big does it need to be? And ... is there anyway to set up the LJ so that it shows different icons for each post?
