(no subject)
long time no update...so, first of all, hello :) since i updated last, i got a new kitten. he's adorable...all black, yellow/green eyes, 5 1/2 months old, playful and snuggly as hell.
hahahaha....my cat, kokomo, was in a paper bag and the kitten, prince, just jumped on top of it. koko got mad a ndswiped at him. these two are so entertaining. i was worried that kokomo wouldn't get along with kitty, because he doesn't like other animals...but now that he's used to having kitten around, they get along pretty well.
kitten went through quite a lot of names before we decided on prince. his first name, the one the shelter gave him, was phoenix...but 1. he didn't look like a phoenix, and 2. i couldn't have a cat named kokomo and one named phoenix [both are locations]--that's just a bit weird. then, i wanted a name that meant something. so, we went through:
-cicero [my fav. nickname: sissy cat]
-shakespeare [another fav. but, no nickname]
-macbeth [all black cat named macbeth? creepy]
-othello [another fav]
-hamlet [ehh....]
-napoleon [awesome name, but doesn't suit his personality]
-nero [again, doesn't suit personality]
-socrates [bill and tom's favorite]
-euripides [euro for short. cute, but wasn't a favorite]
-booger [he has a pink spot on his nose. this was mr tuthill's fav]
-badluck, lucky for short [black cat..obvious. didn't like the name lucky though]
finally, after going through all of those, my brother suggested prince. who knows why, but he did. prince suited him quite well, and now we can simply call him The Artist if we want to. while kokomo's nickname is Kitty Schmadt, prince's nickname is Mister [Senor] Fuzz. or simply Fuzzball.

anyway, it's 1030 am and i just got off a 430am shift, so i'm going out to breakfast and then crashing for the rest of the day.
