worked register today. it f*ing sucked. some guy thought i was ukranian...because me speaking perfect english wasn't a clue or anything. then he asked if i was from around here. what a dumbass.
i hate working with money and dealing directly with customers! especially when they rattle off some order with like 5 drinks [venti nonfat no foam plus whip vanilla latte, iced decaf quad grande hazelnut latte, etc....except it all comes out as 'no-foam-venti-plus whip-non fat-latte..oh! and vanilla!' and 'umm..decaf...iced..plus two extra shots of espresso, latte, with hazelnut syrup. oh, and that was a grande.' and i have to put it in order in my head, call it out to the person working the bar, recall it if they didn't hear, then ring it up. and when ringing it up, you don't ring up no foam, plus whip, etc, so you have to sort that out. it's insane. i'm really good at calling, and i can mark the drinks and make them pretty easily, but ringing them up is just beyond me. seriously, i feel like i'm ukrainian back there :P
there was this lady who ordered like 3 drinks, all out of order, then 4 pastries, and got mad when i asked her what one drink was because i hadn't heard her, and then read it off to make sure i got it straight. i was like, 'i'm sorry, i'm new!' and she was still a complete bitch. i wanted to dump her nonfat with whip drink all over her unnatural and disgustingly bleached head.
daaaay off tomorrow!!! i'm so excited. sleeping in....aww yea.
alright, time to nap, because kitten's all snuggly and snoring and he's making me even sleepier.
