I just got back from dropping Ben off at the W-S armory for A.T .( bound for fort Bragg) He'll be gone till next sunday. I went to the doc again on Fri. I was informed that i have spots not only on my spinal cord but also on my brain. Apperently I have had MS for a while and just didn't know.At least this explains a few things like why I can't pick things up or manage to hold on to them. Also due to the brain damage caused by the lesions I now know I'm not a complete idiot or that I "just don't pay attention or am just not listening" as I have been accused of in the past. Thus why I get lost going places I have been a hundred times or ask the same question 2,3,4 times in 20 minutes and have no idea the question has already been answered. They put me on prednisone(a steroid) for the next 3 weeks to try to help my symptoms as I will probably not be able to see the nuerologist for a while. Gotta love the amazing effeciency of the insurance companies. The med kinda scares me in all honesty. They are making me take huge doses at first and then decreasing it gradually over time. If I stop taking it too soon it can cause adrenal failure which can be fatal. (yeah I'm thrilled) Ben pointed out that basically they are getting me hooked on this shit and then weaning me off it.(pretty much) A couple of the glorious side effects are that I will be moody and hostile(insert raving bitch) and that it not only can make you gain weight but it also causes water retention. YEA!!! I'll be mean,fat and puffy I can hardly wait. I'll update again soon, when I know more about whats going on.
