Halloween and other such happenings
Ok my first experience with Halloween in Austin was definitely interesting. Not nearly as insane as I thought it would be mainly because I didn't totally get into the thick of it. To be honest I'm cool with that..haha. I had the Heather version of Ausin's Halloween so I'm happy. It was crazy though. So many people. I'm sure there would have been TONS more if it hadn't been on a weekday, but for my first time I'm glad it was. I did just about get killed walking down 6th street with Steve. Too many people, me wearing a long skirt (yes I said a skirt!) and hauling my camera. But Steve did a superb job at making sure I was ok. He's definitely good at that.
I was supposed to take pictures of four bands at three different venues, but alas that didn't happen. I did get three of them, but the fourth was way too hard to accomplish. Two bands went on at the same time so that pretty much sealed the deal. subNatural takes priority over anyone so the vote went to sticking with the guys. Which turned out to be the best decision overall. I helped them with equipment, etc. and they helped with getting me to Elysium and back to Dirty Dog. Elysium was insane dude! So many freakin people. It was awesome. :-) I even danced for the first time at Elysium. Kryss and Steve's faces were hilarious when they saw me do that. They've never seen me dance before. That will all change at my party. Everyone who hasn't seen me dance will get an eye full for sure. It's gonna be great.
Speaking of my party. Working on Ducky's set list is proving hard. Too many songs, not enough time! This will be difficult to narrow down. Finally got the flyers/posters printed. Going to the club tonight to promote at the TKK show. Should be a fun time. Closing tonight and opening tomorrow though so that will make things interesting. But it's cool. No matter how tired I am tomorrow I'm going to Atomix to dance. I haven't been in forever and I miss it. I also need to get warmed up for the party next week. I'm out of practice. However after dancing at Elysium I found that I'm not too rusty so that's cool.
Well I need to get to editing pictures. Been waiting for my comp to stop spazzing out on me. The screen is going out and I have to get something to fix it. Ritch knows what it is, but yeah I'm praying it doesn't go out until I can get the part. I don't have any money for that kind of shit! Ugh. Anyways.
Wow. I had so much more to say, but I'm officially drawing a blank. Oh well. Guess I'll update more when it comes to me.
