Fall
I LOVE fall. The trees, the cooler weather, football... It is so calming. The only things that would mkae it better would be living in a place were the trees were prettier. They don't turn very many colors here. Usually just yellow and brown. Although sometimes there are pretty red ones and firey orange ones.
Rowan Rose posted the other day about rainy days. I tend to agree with her. We don't get to enjoy what they were made for. Snuggling in comfy clothes/jammies under a blanket with a good movie/book and Sammy. Sometimes even a favorite stuffed animal like my really soft and squishy piggy.
I have decided to take some time off from work next week. I am going to Kansas City with my mom next Friday Saturday and back on Sunday afternoon so, I thought this is the perfect time to take some time off. I am looking forward to doing nothing and everything. Spending time with Sammy and Daisy. Hopefully getting everything finished with the apartment decorating and organizing. There really isn't that much left to do. Getting all the stuff put in my garage for storage. Although, I need to get myself to the office to see about getting one closer to the apartment. I was supposed to be on a waiting list.
My office has offered memberships to the Joslyn Art Museum here. I decided to go ahead and get one. They have my favorite sculpture Degas Little Dancer. She was refurbished a few years ago and then went on a tour. I hope she is back on display now. I would go straight for her when my family went there when I was a child. I loved posing like her. This next year will be there 75th anniversay so, it seemed like a really good time to get a membership, as there will be lots of things going on that wouldn't be normally. Maybe I will go there while I am off. I was told that when I give my supervisor my application, I will get a temporary member card, that I can use right away. I am hoping that I can take my niece, Rebekah there when she comes up for Christmas.
Sammy was being extra cute, what am I saying he is always extra cute. :) So, I took a few pictures of him this morning. The pictures don't always do him justice though. I so want to get him a husker shirt to wear for game days. I would love to have one by Saturday for the Texas game. I also should get busy and get his Halloween costume. You know if he was a girl, he would so be wearing a Husker cheerleader outfit.
