I got a cat!
Apparently, her owners moved to an apartment in North Carolina and couldn't take her, so they just left her in the house, which was then sold. The guy who bought the house didn't want her, and asked his uncle to try and find a home for her. I got wind of it, and now I have a cat!
We haven't taken her to the vet yet, as we only picked her up last night, but she's probably around 10, and very obese. A diet is definitely in order. Poor thing can't walk without the fat flapping in the way. Oddly enough, though, when I put down food, she doesn't tend to eat it all at once. I think maybe her previous owners just left food out all day, and she ate out of boredom. She's very sweet, though. She hasn't stopped purring since we brought her home, and she loves to be brushed. She doesn't seem like she's much of a lap cat, but she's curled up next to me right now. She's a mostly white calico, and has gorgeous green-yellow eyes.
What should we name her?
