I have to write an essay and read about four billion pages on Heian Japan, Bakhtin and symposia. (It's sort of okay, because I love symposia. Are there any fantasy novels based on ancient Greek society? Can someone point me towards them? Harmodios and Aristogeiton ( Read more... )

i did not know human beings could move thier hands that quickly.

also, i have never seen a Wii...what is the cause for the rapid hand/arm moving??

It's insane. And not sped up at all, I swear!

Yeah, the Wii is like, you operate the video game by the movements of the stick thingums in your hand. That is the technical term for all of this. (AKA, I am so not sure myself.)

Not fantasy, but um: The Praise Singer, The Last of the Wine, and The Mask of Apollo by Mary Renault are the most fantastic books about ancient Greece ever. Harmodios and Aristogeiton show up in the first, the other two have Socrates and Plato and everybody from the Dialogues. :D
