You know, I am really loving some of these Gender & Sexuality in Ancient Greece Readings. I am particularly fond of a dialogue between Zeus and Ganymede that goes a little something like this. (I am paraphrasing, but this is actually the dialogue distilled into its most pure form.)

Have you read the real dialogue? Which is ten BAZILLION times more hilarious? I actually had to do a dramatic performance of it for my roommate who is in the class with me because I needed confirmation that this was actually what I was reading, and I sort of frightened some people in the cafe, but the point remains that I could not. Stop. Laughing. It was insane. You totally need to see the original if you haven't already.

Okay, the translation itself is a little insane too. I'm pretty sure Mister Man is not a direct translation from the Latin.
