Political Fun

So Alan Grayson is a freshman Congressman from Florida. And he actually wants real answers when he asks the tough questions. Questions like, if you are an auditor, shouldn't you know where the money is going?

This happened in May, but I just found it today and had to share.

Yeah, that was pretty much my reaction, which is why I had to post it even though it's months old. It was "damn, this is too cool. Have to share."

It's nice to see a politician out of Florida I can actually respect, considering what my opinion has been of their political system since the 2000 election.

It's a frightening vid..

As a fiscal conservative, it make my GD head explode.

Really makes you wonder about some of the choices our government has been making, you know?

You know, I am sure he will never be elected to national office again, but I also don't think he cares. I think he is determined to ask as many important (albeit embarrassing) questions as he can while he is there and to shed light into some pretty gray areas.

It's interesting that you post this now, because Grayson has been a target of conservatives all week long, because of this.

My understanding is that he has been making other statements recently that have caused the conservatives to make him a target.

Okay, when the original comment came through my email, the vid you posted didn't come with it. After I posted my original reply about other recent comments and it brought me to the actual comments page, then I saw you posted the "die quickly" comments that have been making Grayson a target.

Oops, I thought you were referring to the comments from May making him a target now.

But yes, Grayson is going all out against the Republican party. I think he thinks he hasn't got a chance of being elected to a second term, so damn it he is just going to say what he thinks. Full speed ahead and damn the torpedoes.

I suspect that the video portion is taken out of context. After all, we don't see what comes before it and what comes after it. He must be aware, though, that that sort of rhetoric is likely to inflame people. So you're probably right about him making a "last stand."
