So for anyone reading this journal who is not aware of this fact, I am in grad school going for a master's degree in Organizational Development.
This semester's class is on coaching and mentoring skills.
40% percent of the course grade is due in the last few weeks of the semester, split equally between a giving a presentation on your class project (which was to find someone to coach and coach them) and the "research" paper written on the same class project.
The presentations were originally supposed to occur the last two classes on April 23rd and April 30th, but the teacher had to cancel class on the 23rd because his day job is sending him to Connecticut and what he has to do there is not supposed to finish until 6PM, which is when class is scheduled to begin. Now he wants at least some of the class to give their presentation on THIS Thursday, April 16th, so that no one rushed for time during their presentations (which is rather likely to happen if 10 people try to do a 15-20min presentation all in one 3hr class).
So I told the teacher during the last class on April 2nd (class was canceled on the 9th for Holy Thurs - I'm going to a Catholic university) that I might be ready to present by April 16th, but I would probably want to send him at least a rough draft of my presentation before hand to make sure I was doing what he wanted (he asked for either a power point outlining the presentation or handouts for the entire class, so I am doing power point). I sent him the initial draft copy on Sunday, early afternoon.
So I know yesterday was Easter and all, and he probably was busy, but it is now after 10PM on Monday night and I still haven't heard anything back from him. At least an acknowledgment it had been received would be nice, you know? I don't want to confirm that I will present in *three* days for 20% of the grade without knowing if I am totally off base in what he is looking for the presentation to be like or (at least) somewhere in the ballpark.
