Last night was a belated birthday present night for me, and I had a lot of fun. Aly and I had made plans previously to go out and eat crawfish, since that's a favorite to do down here around this time of year.
Yesterday afternoon, she called and told me she'd pick me up around 7. So, I finished my chores, took a shower, got online, talked to Jake a bit, then finished getting ready. Around 7:15, she showed up with her boyfriend Andrew. He lives in Georgia, is 26, and this was my first time to meet him. She has good tastes. ;) She told me that it'd be just the three of us, since her family skipped out. Fine with me. We were going to eat at this place called Whiskey Dicks, but when we got there, it was pretty vacant, and the service was not what we were used to--basically, the crawfish/potatoes were in a cooler, grab and eat. We decided against that place and went to Willie's Icehouse where we shared 8 lbs. amongst us. Man, oh man... it was DELICIOUS! :D *licks lips* Such a messy, fun food to eat. Would be a fun first date adventure, if you wanted a laugh. :P
Afterwards, Drew and I, although feeling full, wanted some Starbucks to get us going. We stopped by.. I got a Vanilla Creme Frappucino(mmm, same thing Jake got before he left town). Since the night was young(little past 9), we tried to think of something else to do. Final decision? To play pool. She said we were headed to the "shittiest of the shitholes" since all the pool halls here aren't too great. The name of the place was Breakers.
It didn't look too great from the outside or inside. Just your typical dirty, smoke-filled, music-playing, beer-serving hall, with a small arcade off to the side. Drew came in, then left, so me and Aly played a regular came while he was gone. It was my first time to play! :P She taught me how she held the cue and how to get a nice, clean hit. I had some crappy shots, but oh well. Drew came back, and finished the game for her. He was awesome at playing. Lined it up, and in a matter of seconds took nice shots. He could also play one-handed when he was feeling like showing off. I admired him. We played 9-ball after that.. I won twice! :D That was my game, even though it was easy. I got some nice shots in too; Drew said "Wow, you must be warmed up now!" hehehe, fun fun. He won the rest of the time, (I even kicked his ass, literally :P) then we left. I came home smelling like crawfish and cigarette smoke, but I enjoyed it. :) Would've been better if Jake had been beside me, but you know, I never ever felt like the third wheel.. Aly's just a great pal, and Drew was a good guy to be around.
That was my night... can't wait to go clubbing now that I'm 18.. woot woot =) No school tomorrow! And this next weekend, from Thursday - Sunday, I'll be in Dallas for the band spring trip. Should be somewhat fun. Write more later!
