Ow. My body hurts.
Why, do you ask?
Well, I had to stand for 10 hours straight yesterday, waiting at the courthouse for jury duty. (They have NO chairs in that place, and everyone is so pissed that they'll basically ignore you so you won't get offered a seat.)
And surprise surprise, I got picked.
I showed up at 9am this morning, waiting with seven other people before they finally resolved the case at 11am.
A waste of time, yes.
But I did get to meet a lot of cool people and I actually made several new friends. That was pretty cool, despite the fact that it feels like my shoulders are going to melt away and my toes are severed off from the horrible shoes I was forced to wear.
But spending-time-with-friends will commence this week as well. I have lunch (belated birthday!) with Roselyn tomorrow and I get to hang out with dear Vivi on Friday, where we'll force each other to write as we stuff our faces with whatever grub I can find.
