Knocking wildly on wood
Heard from the plumber and he believes that it was just a broken fitting on our water pump because he doesn't see anything else wrong with the pump except for that, and he said that broken fitting would cause the water to not be pumped properly.
So, I'm knocking on wood that is the issue and replacing the fitting will fix the issue and he said the cost should just be the service call unless he finds something else or if that doesn't work.
