Random Thoughts
First the Fan Forum is down, it is not just down its in a coma. For a whole site, a very popular site, to be down for more than a few hours is not good. Now the fan forum has been acting up for the last two weeks, so I'm glad they are fixing it, but hurry up and fix the servers or whatever is wrong, people like me need to get news, post, read posts, see pictures, etc.:p
Now on to Dancing With The Stars. I use to like DWTS a lot more before season six. It use to be more about the dancing, then a popularity contest. And the producers for me at least, were lot less obvious in there manipulations of the show. But the show is now more about a popularity contest, don't get me wrong there is still great dancing, manly by the pros when they have a decent pro dance, this seasos pro dance sucked compared to the other season. Loved last seasons when they were dancing to "Let me Entertain You" and the band did not butcher the song. But the popularity of poor celebrity dancers compared to good celebrity dancers and sometimes the unforgivng nature of the public i snow ruining the show. For example Shannon and Derek should not have been booted off they were way better thaen Marissa and Tony , but they opened there mouth and spoke the truth, in not a very "nice" manner, but I've seen worse, but the public was not wanting in seeing raw honest human emotion by two people under enormous stress ( falling in love in public and being hounded by the press I would qualify as stessful). By the way what Derek said was right. That and the judges, well Bruno and Carrie Ann, being completely inconsitent and showing there favoritism practically all last season made me lose my excitement for the show. This season well the team dances were ridiculous and completely unbalanced. And of course the team captains were "helped" by producers, no matter what they show/edit for the viewing audience. Also the results show is a bunch of crap.They can give Results in 30 mins and not waste our time with 30 minutes of filler crap. The show is disintergrating and the viewers see that, that is why ratings are starting to go down.
I really like fan fiction, I find some of the stories I have stumbled across to be really well written and entertaining, And others not so much. But in the end it is all good because people are being creative and sharing there creativity with everyone else, excepted when it is blocked, so the whole world can read and may be inspired themselves to try and write. Like me. I have an idea in my head, which i have not solidfied yet, but its in there. I'm curious to see what comes out.
