my little girl is growing up
Yep, it had to happen. We started packing up the disney castles and cinderella rugs, lamps, pictures etc that adorned Sydney's "princess" room. The words lovingly painted "Believe in Your Dreams" Will soon be gone. Sydney has decided she has outgrown her "princess room" and is now ready to redecorate. It's killing me she was 2 1/2 when we moved in here and over the first 6 months of living in this house we transformed her room into a haven that any little diva princess would love. Now she wants horses. in the summer probably we will re paint and possibly re carpet her room. We are thinking of getting a loft bed and painting the room to look like a stable. is it sad that I seemed to be more upset with the changes than her? For Christmas my mom bought her a horse lamp and my brother got her horse statues which tonight sit on her shelves instead of the limited edition princess barbies :( So I'm adjusting to the fact that she is becoming a little lady and then she wants to talk to me privately about an incident her and her friend had at McDonalds playroom. Some girl started picking on Syd and when Sydney ignored her the girl said "I'll kick your ass if you don't get out of here" Sydney said she thought about it for a second and told the girl "I won't fight you unless you start it, but i take Tae kwon do so you might want to think about it" Anyway the little girl Syd was with went to get her mom and nothing happened but Sydney cracked me up because she now wants to take her Bible to McDonalds and tell that girl about God. she said she didn't think the girl knew too much about God cause she used bad language. hmmmm the days when I thought dealing with colic and diapers was the worst thing a parent could go through ;)
