I haven't been on here in ages. Peter and I were talking the other day and he was like "Livejournal. Who even does that anymore?" I DO PETER! I actually don't, but I wanted to update about my life.
Still at Dunkin, and trying desperately to get out. Seriously, desperately. Know of any jobs hiring? Get @ me. . .as the hoodlums would say.
Still very much in love with my babycakes! Bless his heart. He works SO hard for us, and i don't think I could EVER thank him enough. :D
Can't get any financial aid without paying my loans back first, so that sucks! It makes sense though. I'm not gonna be like "Yeah I owe you this. . ." and then keep taking! That's so mean!
Steven Colbert the other day said "God works in mysterious ways, but at least he works. He's not on welfare in mysterious ways." Besides making me laugh, it got me thinking of how much we put into work, how we pretty much slave at our jobs. Head honchos bark orders, we all go a'runnin, and we get nothing out of it, because money goes to bills, and bills, and bills! Then you have people who don't work, and don't try to work, and they get all of the help they can.
I'm not being racist, because I am not pinpointing one race. A lot of people do it. I have a friend who knocked up, partly FOR the free medical. It's sad. I understand people need help, but growing up I was under the impression people are more willing to help out those who deserve it. Working hard, and STILL not making it just sucks. You feel unaccomplished. I'm not saying people on welfare don't deserve it. . .SOME do. Like, if you are trying to get a job, and it's not happening, you need something. If you are too old, or sick to work, you need something. It's the people who are on it and abuse it. I personally know a family who are on it. The father doesn't work. The mother doesn't work, but they go to six flags, and they go to the movies, and they bolught a HUGE TV with a satellite dish, and they don't pay their insurance, and they don't make payments on their house, until they get a phone call saying "We're gonna take this. . ." and then they cough up the money and complain they have nothing. Like. . .welcome to life, kiddies. Life is tough, and bills gotta be paid. Your necessities should ALWAYS come first.
I guess what I'm trying to get at is everyone needs help right now. Whether you are working, or not working, or trying to work, or getting into school, I feel like everyone should help everyone in any way they can. That would happen in a perfect world. =/
Anyway, I have a ton more I could say but I have to get ready. Gotta go to the bank, store, and hopefully I can get Peter to go to starbucks. Family cookout later. :D
