What I should be doing right now:
Preparing for the trip to Cardiff to pick up my stuff
Making space in my room to put all my stuff away
Going for a walk to enjoy fresh air and exercise before being stuck in a car for four hours

What I am doing right now:
Lying on my bed
Surfing the internet

Sure can not be bothered to do much.

I finished Maurice ( Read more... )

films, blatant product-pimping, books

Or you could go old-school and wear a hat with a massive brim and carry a parasol... part of me wishes I had a parasol. But I think I'd get too many funny looks.

I can kind of see why you wouldn't like him. He's deffinitely annoying, very much so in some parts. He's one of those characters you just know you wouldn't get on with in real life (it's strange, sometimes I like characters I'd hate in real life, sometimes I hate them in fiction too - it's why I can't finish Wuthering Heights. I just want them all to DIE painfully.) Out of the three Forster books I've read so far, he's the main character who's improvement takes so long to really get going. He only starts being a better person in the British Museum, I think. Unlike Lucy (in a Room with a View) who struggles between her old ways and her improvement from the very start, and unlike Philip (in Where Angels Fear to Tread) who, though he takes a while to start improving, once he does it's a fairly steady and noticable process. I'm still fond of Maurice though, for all his absurdity.

Yes, I love it so! There's nothing like the subtle blend of glam, man-love and Christian Bale to brighten up your life :) (I also do not complain about a naked Ewan McGregor...)
