Just some dialogue between Arawn and Mira

May 10, 2011 12:16

Mostly some girl talk. Also a way to get into Arawn's mindset a little more. :)

ARAWN: I think I know why the Jedi Order forbid others to love.

MIRA: Mmmm?

ARAWN: It's broken. Full of contradictions, leaps in logic -- doesn't make sense.

MIRA: I doubt it's supposed to.

ARAWN: It's led people to wreak entire galaxies in revenge. I remember a friend of mine falling in love with a girl named Jarael -- he got over it, of course, but it was still pretty scary.

(Beat)

ARAWN: Well, all right, it was less the "love" part and more the fact he was kind of --

MIRA: Right, right. *Sighs* I think the Order really needs to differentiate between love and obsession. Obsession can lead you to...completely snap, for lack of a better word, but love?
Love can lead to some pretty amazing things.

ARAWN: I never really thought I'd hear that from you.

MIRA: Well, you learn a lot of things when you're on Nar Shaddaa. Sometimes, whenever I have time, I just...go people-watching.
It's kind of how I relax.

ARAWN: Really?

MIRA: Yes, really. You think a bounty hunter can't...do these things?

ARAWN: No. I just never pictured *you* doing it.
