A Silk Pillow 'verse Author's Notes (for my own peace of mind)

A Silk Pillow 'verse Author's Notes

These notes are being written as much for me as anyone else.  This 'verse isn't quite like anything I've even done and I've yet to manage to quite put it together in my head.  As I've noted in many of thedrabbles these were written out of order.  The first one, A Silk Pillow, was just meant to be a stand alone.  I wanted to see if it was even possible to do Dom!Charlie let alone Sub!Ian.  Two little prequel bunnies jumped up the same day and I got Whistling and Resolve.  That was in April '08.  Eight months later a bunny showed up where Charlie was designing a tattoo for Ian and this floored me.  I had no idea where it came from, honestly tattoos make me a little squeamish, what's more it was obviously taking place years after the first little stories and I had no idea what happened in between.

Most of my 'verses I have planned out in tiny detail going years into the future and the past.  With Whitman 'verse I can tell you about everything major that happened in Charlie's life right up to the moment of his death and a lot of minor things as well.  With this 'verse I have no idea beyond what is written.  You the reader know no more than I do, and if somehow you do know more please share.  The only one that really got forced was No Shame because I really wanted my 100th drabble to be prompt 100 (yes, I'm that flavor of dork).

This Ian and Charlie are a solid divergence from cannon but I feel odd calling them my Ian and Charlie.  If anything I think they belong to themselves and are letting me peak into random moments of their lives.  I know not where they came from or where they are going.  I've played with the idea of Charlie being more sexually dominate here and there but never to this extent.  But a Sub!Ian and a broken Ian, other than onedrabble emmademarais  did I haven't seen that done by anyone else.  If someone has done it please point the way, I'd love to see someone elses take on it.

The majority of this came out randomly in a rush in mid January '09 like a volcano of fic, and like a volcano it has gone silent again.  I've been poking at the muse for this, where ever it came from. but it is silent.  I know there's a lot of gaps and the end isn't really tied up and I'm not even sure if it can be called an end but it is what it is.  I hope you all enjoy this and please try to feed the bunnies, but good luck, they seem very picky about what they eat.
