Dear Yuletide 2013
Dear Yuletide Author,
First off thank you so much for doing this. Yuletide is always a wonderful thing in the middle of holiday madness.
Secondly. I had a long year. And I mean long. Major world travel, wretched pregnancy (while traveling), squeezed out baby, bought a house, moved into a house (with small baby), bought car, and decided to use reusable diapers. And with all this I decided to sign up for yuletide. I must be out of my mind. Here's the thing though. I don't know you. Your holidays could be a lot more stressful than mine. You could have twins, one teething and one with cholic. You might have the judgmental inlaws from hell coming over and your boss wants you to work triple shifts and insists on playing the charismas music mix of the damned.
So.
Don't stress about this. Seriously. This should be fun, don't feel the need to freak out. Hopefully one of my requests is something you really wanted and will find easy. If not I hope I can at least give you a helpful idea.
And again, thank you.

I love Sydney and Mulcahy. I've actually slashed them in the past but also just talking as friends, maybe helping the same injured soldier in their own ways. I also like Charles. I love the moments when he's forced to, or chooses to shake off the Boston snobbery and really communicate with people he might often consider lower than himself or from vastly different backgrounds.
Northern Exposure
This is just a copy and paste from last year's request.
I'd love these three guys as an OT3 but a pairing of any two of them is great. I love Joel being strange, and New York, I love Chris being philosophical, and I love Ed just being Ed. It doesn’t have to be sex (though sex is always nice) The three of them cuddled up and talking is just fine as well. Or maybe Chris waxing poetic over the radio while the other two listen. If you do write Northern Exposure it would be great if you could post it to population849 after the reveal. It's the only NX com and I run it.
The Almighty Johnsons
Most fans are New Zealanders and we've seen the final ep. But I know it's being shown other places and you might not have the final season yet. So. If you haven't seen the final ep look over this first request the scroll down to Parade's End. If you have seen the final ep then go ahead and read over both.
I have a deep love for Zeb, mortal among gods. I'd like to see Zeb's side of the quest. Maybe his thoughts when he found out his best and oldest friend is a god. I'd like to see him studying up on the myths and realizing no one else has. Or, anything with Ty and Dawn. Fluff, angst, smut, whatever.
If you have seen the final ep I'd like to see Zeb get to know Axl again. Axl might have been erased from Zeb's memory but he left a giant Axl shaped hole. Is Zeb freaked out about how well Axl seems to know him? Dose he wonder why he suddenly got into Norse myths for a while? Also Ty and Dawn relearning each other.
And I am sure Stacy, Ingrid and Olaf had a three way on the beach on that last night, just as a side idea.
Parade's End
I saw the mini series and I'm about a third of the way through the book. I put down the TV show for my request because I thought there would be better odds of a match but if you've read the book that's cool as well.
I'd like to see more of Tietjens during the war. He has spent his entire life being calm and controlled in the face of ordinary difficulties and repressing his emotions. I'd like to see him lose and fight for that emotional control while in the trenches or while being bombed on base. I want to see him trying to be a proper gentleman while up to his eyes in freezing mud.
Or, in the book there is a long bit about how MacMaster is always falling for the wrong woman and Tietjens keeps blocking him for his own good. There is also a bit early on where Tietjens rants to MacMaster about how distasteful sex is. So maybe something during their university days with Tietjens doing something to take the edge off MacMaster's desires even if he finds it a bit unpleasant.
Or Tietjens/Valentine smut.
Or really anything you like. I'd just like to see more of this fandom.

I want beginings. I want Adam and Eve meeting. Were they mortal or vampire when they first met? Were they changed together or was one changed and they went and changed the other? How did they meet Marlow?
The Simpsons
Something about The Simpsons always makes me very philosophical. So maybe some of the internal lives of some of the supporting characters. Go stream of thought or experimental here if you like.
Anyhow, I really hope there is something here that will get your creative jusices flowing and like I said, don't stress about it. Just have fun. Feel free to nose around my lj.
