that is beyond perfection. i love bffs!colby and david. i really really really do. and that is the epitome of bffs, right there.

such a lovely chapter, hon. I love your dream sequences. i just am in awe of how well you make them feel nonsensical and disjointed like real dreams but at the same time chock full of meaning and emotion. they are just perfect. i got goosebumps on this one because it reminded me of the very first dream i had of my grandmother after she had died. it evoked that same real but not real feeling that dream had. i don't know specifically what it was about david's dream that tripped that sense memory for me, but it gave me a shiver and i smiled because when david woke up, it was just as it was supposed to be - the hurt was better but the loss was still there. brava, doll.

if you are up for it, i might ask for your feedback/assistance on a fic i am writing for emma's bday. i don't know if you'd be interested in that, so it's a-okay to tell me no of course (you won't hurt any feelings, promise) but the charlie in my fic is grieving and i would love to pick your brain since you do recovery fic so well. mine is not quite recovery fic but it has those elements? it's hard to explain and i don't want to give anything away as i am trying to not spoil its plot for emma. actually, now that i think about it, i could use your feedback on my other fic too. huh. apparently i just love to put charlie in mental distress and then watch him heal... we must have that in
common... :D

I'm glad you liked the dream bit. I think I actually rely a little too heavily on them. They're showing up in the next Whitman a lot as well but I guess as long as the don't get to weird or cheesy...
