This was... this was really well done, LG. And Charlie really made the right decision.

LOL and the part about Mr. Winks was just so funny. Poor thing.

Looking forward to more.

:-) I had to include Mr. Winks somehow. It just felt important.

I love how it all ended up being about Mr. Winks :)

I'm way, way, way behind but I'm going to catch up. I just wanted to comment here and say thank you SO much for writing David-centric fic. I love him. And David/Charlie is such a wonderful pairing. I can't wait to read, especially since I'm on vacation! YAY! :)

Thanks also for spreading the love over at davidsinclair. It's not much, but it's ours. *hugs David*

I heart you so much right now. Not only did you give me lovely yummy Family Eppes interactions, but you also gave me brothers!Eppes fighting over Mr. Winks. This was beyond adorable. I didn't even know how badly I wanted this until you gave it to me. This was the perfect spot for it too after all the pain and angst Charlie had been struggling with ( ... )

It is kind of a point that David has not once really stopped to think if it's his job or place to take care of Charlie. I didn't stop to think about it until I was pretty far in. I had to go back and add that line where Charlie tells David he's not his keeper. Looking back on the show David was assigned to protect Charlie more than once and I doubt orders like that really have an expirey date for David.

And I had to get in Mr. Winks somehow.

“They are historically accurate military figurines, comic book guy. They are not dolls.”

*snorfles*

And oh dear, poor Mr Winks! That was a great exchange :)
