So I've been looking for these everywhere! (TVD Instrumental Score)
This is random but there are always moments when I'm really taken with The Vampire Diaries Soundtrack - not the angsty pop songs written by the two-headed hydra-children of Coldplay and Bon Iver but the other stuff and the instrumental score as composed by Michael Suby (I'm not sure if they've had others).
Anyway, particular moments where the score has legitimately slain me is Jenna's death scene, Damon shutting Katherine in the tomb, Damon killing Rose in the dream, Bonnie showing Jeremy her ancestors' powers, John dying to exchange his life for Elena, Klaus forcing Stefan to drink the blood and many more. I think there's room for improvement with him, and I'd love if they developed more distinctive themes for characters or whatever because I love that on my shows.

Personally I think the show has some dodgy moments and we've had some really jarring and obnoxious musical cues (either the song is wretched or the volume is so high it throws you out of the scene). Or else the scored music leaves much to be desired (sorry Micheal, it's not like you're Bear McCreary or something, but it's all good!). Other times, they get it so fantastically right for a single character moment or a ship, whether it's instrumental or not, and it's wonderful. And speaks to my soul and makes me want to spew meta and cry salty tears and clutch at everything because it's so brilliant. What are you favorite musical cues on the show? Or your least favorite? I might have to do my own top 10 tbh because feelings - I have them.
What's the one song you wish and wish and wish you'd see on TVD but the show has yet to grant it? Or like five songs. Am I the only person that thinks about this too much because I feel like I have an embarrassingly long list.
