::claps:: OMG yay! What a way to end a long and hard day. This was such a wonderful and lovely piece. Thank you so very much for choosing to explore these scenarios. Please allow me gush because here be gushing. :-)

Aside from two episodes of Young Justice and "Scion" I didn't know Conner but your portrayal of him here was something I really responded to. His actions against Lois in "Scion" were unsettling to say the least and while I probably would have preferred that Smallville not go the Conner route, I liked the character more than I thought I would. I like how you choose to frame the first story through his POV because in addition to hearing Lois' thoughts on the events of "Scion", your story gave Conner the opportunity to articulate his concerns as well. Plus, being given a window into his thought processes gave additional welcomed insights.

It was especially heart-breaking to hear his fears of abandonment and of being forced to return to the very sterile hospital environment he was previously in. It contrasted nicely with Conner keeping a lid on his internal teenage snark.

I loved, loved the opening imagery you gave the farm --the radio playing in the background, chef!Clark, and the rest of our new little family together at the breakfast table. It really harkened back to early Smallville with Jonathan and Martha and Clark rushing off to school. I could easily picture the perfect Smallville sunshine through the kitchen windows.

::hugs show and this fic::

I loved how Lois' sage comment about not writing people off because they make mistakes nicely contrasted with her humorous mini anecdote of being "the only awkwardly tall, white kid in a tiny village in Thailand with no language skills at all". I have another prompt in the ficathon about Lois getting lost in Thailand with Lucy and with this line you've given some lovely insight into Lois' childhood during that time.

And of course I liked how you touched on Conner’s observations of Clark and Lois' relationship. I think Conner was the perfect vehicle for that. As the newest family member he's been given a front row seat to all their couply shenanigans, both sweet and sexy. Also, the bit in which Conner amusingly witnessed Lois’ on a phone call and waving her mascara wand was the perfect way to finish the first part. Conner is going to have some internal struggles of the Kryptonian and Luthor kind but that little moment highlights that Conner and Lois are going to be OK now.

And as for the second part…it’s effortlessly sexy. There aren’t any crazy sexual acrobatics, only two lovers coming together in the middle of the night. Plus I’m a major sucker for stories that take the time to involve the weather, and it doesn’t get any better than a muggy night just before a nighttime rainstorm. Also, I don’t think I’ve ever read a SV story that had Lois in one of Clark's t-shirts rather then his flannel.

Horray for a Clark with a big and healthy sexual appetite and I loved Clark's DIY comment to Lois. His addition that he would have woken up to watch her was sexy as hell.

And the whole thing with Lois being loud and scaring the people in the hotel room next door was fantastic. Plus the whole idea of them being in a D.C. hotel room together (visiting Mrs. K? a story? A spontaneous visit?) and being less then discreet makes me all kinds of giddy. Oh, Clois, don’t ever stop being sexy.

I also got a huge kick with Clark being all, "Hey let's have sex. Conner is learning to manage his hearing. He'll get over the embarrassment of it all." Clark is so lol casual about the whole thing. Who would have thunk, lol.

And yeah, Clark cursing will forever be hot.

Thank you so much for this wonderful feedback, I am savoring it - I'm glad these were not a disappointment for you, I am half-and-half on them still and I hated them when I posted them, so it's happy-making that you like them so.

Once I had a backstory for Connor and why he was so stunted in particular ways, and needy in others, he made sense to me and I could feel for him. I'm glad you liked that. And they will be okay, it'll take time and it'll be hard, but I like that too.

Hahaha, Clark is a sex fiend apparently - but if you were marrying Lois Lane, who wouldn't be? Those poor neighbors at the hotel room, Clark probably burned a few holes in the ceiling - just sayin'.

Lol, Clark's just like, who's Connor. I want my wife naked, who cares about anyone or anything else. Tralalalala, not listening.
