Great review! You may not think it's intelligent but I do. Then again, I really do enjoy your reviews. You always make a lot of good points. :)
you have shown yourself capable of doing something not many writers are able to do on this show simultaneously - write a good Clark Kent AND a good Chloe Sullivan. These two mystical, magical feats are generally mutually exclusive on Smallville and you've had your hits and misses but this episode? Lovely. Yes, this! I'm glad to hear I am not the only who feels this way.
I loved Clark in this episode. He was great in all of his roles and he has come so far. He's Superman in everything but the name and costume (and okay, the flying too). :D
Clois makes me ridiculously happy. They have an adult relationship and it's amazing. Like you said, they have their issues but they work them out and can apologize when they go too far.
My one nitpick about Lois - it appears that Lois actually doesn't have a story arc completely her own this season. I wish we could see more journalist!Lois. She's mostly taking care of Clark, but I want to see her have her own life too. I liked it in 'Beacon' when she enlisted Chloe to spread the news about voting for the VRA bill. That was great. I want to see more of it.
P.S. I giggled so much in that loft scene. These two, you guys. *draws hearts around OTP* I couldn't stop laughing. The "whoosh" line killed me. OH LOIS! ♥
Chlollie was adorable. I really love that Ollie is the girl in the relationship. He was all pouty in the trunk scene and I died. I was initially thrown off by the fighting scene but upon rewatching it, I think you're right.
Seconding everything you said about Chloe. I really couldn't have said it better myself.
Desaad was a really good villain, I thought. I thought so too. i too was pleasantly surprised. He's definitely improved since the last time we saw him.
I'm curious as to where they're going to go with Ollie and the darkness. A little worried too but am interested in seeing it all play it out.
Creepy, show can be creepy. I hate blood tears. I like that they tempered it with enough humor so I didn't want to hug myself in the dark afterward. Yeah, I'm easily squicked out and this show can creep me out sometimes.
Jeff is adorable. I would love to see more of him.
Please can next week's episode not drive me to drink. K. Thanks. Seriously. This can go really well or really bad. NGL, I'm looking forward to seeing Clark drunk but I'm also a bit worried.
This episode made me so deliriously happy, I have no words.
LOL, drunk Clark looks more and more hilarious as we get closer to the episode, i cannot stop laughing at this Canadian preview. I won't spoil in case you haven't seen it - but it's highlarious1!!!!
