I have vague memories of when the lifespan for having AIDS was less than one year. Now the lifespan can be decades but that’s only for those who are lucky enough to have health insurance to be able to afford the high cost of the medicine.

When I first read this, I immediately thought of you and the effect it would have on you and I was smiling. It's such a huge story that brings hope to ending something the world has been battling for years. *hugs* My country likes to deny that there is an HIV infection spreading but it is there and I know several people who have been infected with HIV. This will give them strength to fight harder and I will keep rooting for these scientists. I hope that next up, they'll find an ultimate cure for cancer too. :) *hugs*
