Lasat week

Crazy busy, like most weeks before a faire are. Monday I spent recovering from faire the weekend before. My feet were most unhappy with me, and my allergies were running amok. I love my new boots. They are custom made for me and are wonderful. The problem is that I think I fractured a toe when I was helping Paunnie move. For that toe to still be giving me pain, it has to be. So I started wrapping the toes. It helped a lot. My allergies left me downright exhausted on Monday. So very glad I didn't have to work. I had a sore throat too.
Tuesday I was scheduled for an 11-7 shift as an extra. My sore throat was gone, as was the exhaustion, but my voice kept going in and out. I mentioned to the Lord that me dealing with park guests was going to be a bit difficult, could He please deal with that? Got to love the Lord's sense of humor. Got to work to find out that I was being sent to the merchandising office. That usually means a project of some sort. I spent the entire shift in a largely air conditioned building, with carpeting (for my poor feet) and a real bathroom dealing with products that needed to be prepped to be destroyed. So no talking to guests. It was perfect.
I got home in time to rush over to church. My home group had arranged for a quarterly regional home church meeting with guests-RainSong, a Native American based Christian duo. I find it very challenging to hear them speak (and minister musically) about Creator God and His great Chief Jesus. A very fun evening.
Wednesday was me rushing around with errands as well as trying to get stuff done for faire (like packing). Thursday was a full shift (closing) at the Gallery. Good times. I took some decent pictures too.
Friday was mostly a sewing day. I did eventually get everything necessary done. Lots of errands too.
Saturday started too early with me not getting enough sleep. I woke up around 3 in the morning remembering that rain was in the forecast and I still had the stuff I'm wood staining on the back patio which floods. Opps! Yeah, had to get up.
Around 8:30 a.m. (yes, there is an 8:30 in the mornings on Saturdays) I took mom over to Fullerton College where they were having another plant sale. Our tomato plats from there are getting huge and there are now baby tomatoes on some of them! She brought home 2 cucumber plants, one zucchini, and one watermelon plant. As well as some ideas as to how to deal with the pesky blue jay that killed the prior cucumber plant.
Before I knew it my daughter arrived and we packed up my car. First stop, Corona faire site. Our goal was to unload a bunch of stuff into her tent, then do some other things before final dress rehearsal for battle. Unfortunately, the tent was no longer standing. JR was kind enough to help us get the tent back up and nailed down. It will be easier to keep that little tent up once Connor's tent is next to it as a wind break. We got it done in time to go to battle.
After battle, we came back and it was still standing, so we loaded the stuff into it and we headed off. After a quick meal, we drove on down to Escondido faire, which will be the next post.
