After the gruelling neverending Black Parade tour, Frank is convinced that what the band needs is a proper holiday, in his words, "somewhere sunny". So he drags everyone off to Barbados or wherever, where Gerard wears too much black and giant sunglasses, complaining about the tan he so totally doesn't want, but so totally is getting, Mikey whinges when he can't get signal on his phone and Ray stops wearing shirts altogether. Eventually, they find that they are enjoying themselves, in spite of themselves, and Frank is a happy puppy.

And then there is GSF.

omg have you ever heard about the time in 2004/05 when JET went to Barbados because they were like "LOL we're so famous, let's ask the record company for something really stupid like a holiday to Barbados where we get like a villa and a recording studio and heaps of weed" and then the record execs when "Sure!" and they got all of it.

Then they got back and Mark went on the radio and explained it and said mostly they didn't know what they were doing and drank rum all the time, and then Chris called up the radio station while Mark was still on air so he could tell him off for saying they were slacking off because Chris reckoned they wrote some really great songs in Barbados.

the only Barbados demos I've heard are "One Hipster, One Bullet" and "I Only Like You When I'm High" so personally I think Mark's "oh we just drank rum and smoked weed all the time" version is the less embarrassing one.

I am pretty sure YOU told me about the Jet In Barbados thing. Obviously, it's lodged in my subconscious and is slipping out as imaginary fic I willnever write.
