Life goes on...

...three hurricane scares later, life goes on with no substantial damage and only a few trees missing. God is good!

Class schedules were interrupted, but my teaching continues to go well and my junior high kids are all excited about starting rehearsals for the next Drama Team play (which I'm directing...Dec 16): "Jolly Roger and the Pirate Queen". Speaking of which, Sunday was "National Talk Like a Pirate Day." Really. I took the opportunity to watch "Pirates of the Carribean" again...this time with the director Gore Verbinsky & Johnny Depp doing audio commentary. Woo-hoo! :)

David's been trying to come down for a visit since Labor Day weekend, but hurricanes and various circumstances have delayed him thus far...I'm holding my breath for next weekend...

It was fun having brother Will down in Miami with us for the hurricane weeks, even if he spent most of the time wishing he was back at Stetson. I can't wait to go up and see him in "The Fantasticks" in a couple months! :)

Mom and Dad are doing okay, visiting Grandma daily at the Palace where she's been in rehab after her tumble. She seems to be staying in good spirits. Rusty and Pumpkin also miss having her around.

I'm absolutely loving living in my own apartment. I have actually used the stove, which, if you know me, is a big deal. I'm not only 'Queen of the Obvious' but 'Queen of the Microwave' as well.

I miss seeing my Stetson friends, and I hope those of you who did the river-tubing thing had a fabulous time! Hopefully a bunch of you will be able to come down here to Miami for a certain wedding that will hopefully be happening next June...provided we can work out several issues...(nothing's ever simple!)

Speak of the fiance, my cell phone just rang and it's David ... I asked if he has a message to send you guys. He says "I love Malli." Go figure.

Anyway, I'll call it a night for now. Peace be with you and God bless you! :)

Love, Malli
