Have I mentioned that I hate it when my shoulders are flaring? I usually sleep on my side, but lately either I can't fall asleep for the shoulder pain, or else I wake up in agony unable to move my arm.
So I'm having to sleep on my back a lot, which makes my sciatica/pinched nerve thingy ohsoveryhappy. I use a pillow under my knees to keep my left knee bent while I sleep (because I don't fancy another nighttime kneecap dislocation), which puts very slight pressure on my rear. Very slight, but enough to make that nerve flare up.
But I am happily not very sore from pilates yesterday afternoon. Leg lifts have not gotten any easier, though I'm finding ways to make the lower, balancing leg more comfortable. I don't feel much pain in the glutes during the lifts, I feel it in the tissues on the outside of the hip joint. I wonder if it's actually pressure point pain I'm feeling. Hopefully it will lessen over time.
Water aerobics today and tomorrow, which hopefully will damp down some of my shoulder ickies. I may use water weights the whole time, just to try and work that shoulder pain out.
Today's looking to be a Tramadol-is-god day. But the weather forecast looks like it'll clear up tomorrow, and be civilized till Wednesday.
I really hope the pool water isn't freezing like it was last Friday. You'd think the gym managers would realize that many of the folks who do water aerobics have various joint problems--and that cold water is bad for joints. *grump*
Today is the anniversary of Martin Luther King's death. I wonder if his assassin ever figured out how much King's death accomplished for civil rights.
Two more days till my favorite day of the week. I [heart] my church.
