Went back and reread another old (unfinished) SW story. This one's about supposedly mythical Jedi, an in-universe JediCon, a secret cabal or three, and a nonbelieving refugee from a Force-worshiping backwater planet who has a couple very large surprises thrown her way.
Have discovered a few things:
- Either I'm actually a halfway decent writer--or, more likely, the fact that my own story can captivate me means I'm more narcissistic than is quite healthy.
- I'm far too easily amused by my own whacked-out thought processes.
- I am much closer to finishing that one than I thought I was. Like, maybe a chapter or so. Er, wheee?
Half-day again tomorrow. I spent the entire afternoon thinking it was Friday, and then one of the secretaries asked if I would be there again tomorrow. *sigh* Must take the kidlet to school early, for an off-campus field trip to one of the local courthouses, where she will play the part of a defendant in a (based on a true story!) mock trial.
Considering my daughter, the judge (a real judge, no less) is not gonna know what hit him.
i am a hopeless geek,
