Blaine had carefully washed and combed out her hair that morning and drawn the curls up into two tiny pigtails on either side of her head.

Oh Lord, this was so poignant. Poor Blaine, I really feel for him. Cooper and his comments don't help. He is in pain so I suppose he has less restraint. Blaine's nerves are really scaring me, though. Seems like he is bottling things up again.

Thank you for the update, no matter the size of it. This story remains my favorite. One of the few I always go back to.

Cooper really doesn't mean anything by it. He's just trying to make conversation, but I guess he has always had a talent for pushing Blaine's buttons.
