I'm getting tired of people. Who's with me for packing up and moving planet?
Today wasn't that bad, though I didn't get as much done as I wanted. Went to the post office, made an extra key for my friend who will be watching over the kitties while I'm gone, watched over other friend's kitties. Wrote some stuff.
I'm considering flipping my second zombie apocalypse premise into a work of original (queer as fuck) fiction. I have three ideas so far, one which is a stand alone zombie, one that might have a sequel and highlights homeless teens (so maybe YA), and one that is outright whackjob otherworldly fantasy, with lesbians and magic dimensional crossing and a world that has to have gender neutral pronouns because one of their gods is trans (and zie comes down for a visit, randomly).
But yeah, I didn't get much further than thinking about my stable of characters for the first premise, and realized the character name for the second one had already been used. :/ Still fleshing that idea.
I keep sitting down to update stories, and I keep not doing it.
Oh, positive thing. I ran into a prof today, and he like my paper from last semester and asked if I'd be interested in taking his class for one or two days to teach that facet of gay lit. (Yikers.) I think obviously, I have to say yes, but the concept of addressing someone else's class, or even how to present information that isn't in a "let's all build knowledge together" way. I don't tend to lecture. Thinking about what articles I might give to prep them so we can talk about it and what part of historical stuff would be necessary to know.
This post is rambly. I make no apologies.
Finally, I'm audiobooking Chris Colfer's The Wishing Spell. So far it's pretty adorable. I would have loved the shit out of this as a kid. But I had to get over squeeing about how he reads everything before fully paying attention.
