White Frog- Indie film coming out with Harry Shum Jr. Also, Tyler Posey's in it. It's about two brothers: the older one dies, and the younger one has Asperger syndrome.
I'm tentative so far, from seeing Booboo Stewart's attempt to mimic cripface the mannerisms of someone with Asperger and his "research" from basically googling it and reading blogs. I mean, I expect to feel full on embarrassment squick as he leans over in half of the scenes while he's trying to remember not to look at people in the eye. But it might be interesting from elements the director/writer is pulling out wrt the story of this family. There's only one Danny Pudi, after all. What am I expecting from people? Do more research than googling? Watch a few ASAN videos?
Also, BD Wong. <3 Anyway, it has a lot of talent attached to the project, so I hope the actors get promoted, more facial recognition. I actually kind of like everything Harry Shum Jr. does so far. It could be because he dances like he can fly.
But hey, how about Chris Colfer and Harry Shum Jr. both doing movies where their character is DEAD? Synchronicity, right?
