It's like they don't want people to watch next season.

At least they made it easy for me. I can fast forward through the Mary Tyler Sue show and just watch the parts that might have characters I still give a shit about.

I am writing reaction fic for the first time in my life - I just feel Kurt DESERVES at least that much.

I honestly didn't think Glee could go lower than OMW. That shook me to my core. This? This made me cry. Cry.

I just can't with this bullshit.

I can't come up with a reaction right now, except that this is so cognitively dissonante with what they set up that I can't even.

Really. So for the first half of the season, we had the entire world, pretty much, laughing at Kurt, refusing to give him a hand up into roles he's earned, and watching him fail, fail, fail. Our resolution for this, after we saw that the "real deal" thinks that he is amazing, is that... RACHEL WINS and he loses, once again. He loses, for no reason given. He knocked his audition out of the park, she fucked up, and because she whined about it enough, Carmen Tibadeaux forgot whatever standards she had and decided to let her in. And Kurt does not get in.

... what? What was the fucking point of that plot? That rich straight white girls get what they want, even if they don't earn it? That some people will just have everything handed to them on a platter, with minimal angst, and others, well. It just DOES NOT GET BETTER.

Sorry, you have to suffer in Lima another year.

FUCK.

And when they kept telling us that one of them would make it and one wouldn't?

I FUCKING NEW FROM THE START THAT RACHEL WOULD MAKE IT. From the moment I heard this, I had a feeling in my gut that Kurt wouldn't get in. And I wasn't even surprised today.

But his last words were "I didn't get in" - and after all the bullshit the writers put Kurt through (meanwhile making him say happy things so that non-Klainers could rage at us that "Klainers should shut up they have everything, it's the Blaine show, where is Karofsky/Brittana/Samcedes/Kum/randompairingthatisnotFinchel"), they don't give him anything.

I would have been satisfied with a scene where Blaine hugs him or something. And by satisfied I mean I wouldn't feel like someone just gutted me.

Ever since OMW I absolutely don't care about Glee logic, because otherwise I just couldn't watch it. But still they found a way to make me nominate this the worst written show I have ever seen (past season one).

Yes. They absolutely failed to give any kind of resolution for Kurt. And you're right, his last words of the season are "I didn't get in." His last words are, I failed again, my dreams are crushed, and no one is there to really comfort him because they spent ten minutes licking Rachel's ass.

I don't think they could have been more insulting about how much of a prop he is for Rachel. God, did CC piss off the writers or something? What IS this show?

I haven't gotten to the discussion post, yet, but everything out loud for the last twelve minutes has been a variation of "Fuck you, Glee!" and "Why are you crying?" to the kids. (Son is upset that Glee won't be on for months, which I guess is forever when you're ten. One girl wasn't able to explain why. The other started because the first one was.)

WTF did I just watch. Fuck you, Glee. Fuck you, Rachel. Go have your Mary Tyler Moore scene in some other show. I'm done with you. I'm just.... #$%#%$ # $%V% #$#$% # %#$ #% #$^T#$ %. Blaine? Kurt? Tina? Mike? ANY other couple? Anyone? I mean, okay, Brittany and Santana. And the Burt scene was adorable. But why the hell did Finchel get the last twenty minutes of this episode? Klaine got one scene and some looks across the room. Fuck them. Fuck them all hard with a splintery dowel.

This entire season has been a great big fuck you to Kurt Hummel, with a giant stamp slammed against his head that says RACHEL'S SHOW.

They're all happy to trot Kurt out as their "diversity" but in the end, they just slam him around and then forget about his DEVASTATING and INEXPLICABLE FAILURE at the end. And then he has to play happy for Rachel when she never would have for him. When she sang no less that three LONG AND SAD AND WHINY SONGS after she fucked up her audition and stalked that dean.

"I didn't get in."

Fuck that.

I'm really trying to decide if I can watch this show next season.

I used to say that no matter how progressively fucked up the writing and story lines became (crazy Quinn, pregnant Sue) that I would still watch Glee because of Kurt. Because watching him push and fight and find his way was a pretty fun ride and ultimately uplifting. Even though I found this season to be so emotionally unsatisfying with respect to his character development and the relationship development between him and Blaine, I persevered, sure that he would find success in the end.

Well, what do you know, turns out I'm not nearly as smart as I look. All I can say now is that they had better wow me in season 4, episode one or I'll be watching Community on Thursday nights.

I can only groan, drink my Red Velvet wine, and go hide in AUs where the characters aren't compelled to dance to the whims of incompetent writers.

I'm done. Seriously, I'm just done. All the people who keep saying it'll work out in the end? Maybe, but they've been saying that for 3 seasons now and it doesn't appear that the writers have any intention of stopping the "Kurt is the show's punching bag" theme they've been exploiting for 3 years now.

I think Kurt would be fantastic in fashion. I honestly wouldn't even mind if that was his backup plan. But to have his main storyline for the season be getting into NYADA and then not even having the decency of giving him a moment of reaction? That's not a cliffhanger, that's lazy writing. It takes 2 minutes - Kurt home with Burt/Carole/Blaine, upset, decides NYADA is not the end all be all of New York City. Bam. Path forward.

But what we got? Was reinforcement that Kurt can never have nice things. Or good things.

I'm just done. I'll happily read the fic, but I'm not wasting my time watching the show any more. It's not worth the rage every week.

They'e done a fabulous job this season of both kicking the crap out of Kurt and also trying to signal to us that they just don't give a fuck. There was no celebration of Kurt, not even in MONTAGE through one of Rachel's "I'm soooo saaaad" songs, because we had to focus on HER, and there was no sympathy for Kurt because again, she was so much more important that his plot that they just forget that he exists.

So, that's my message, Glee? Everyone gets what they want, except Kurt. The "It Doesn't Get Better" campaign. You can be tortured your entire high school career, and then people will refuse to give you your dreams for no reason, and no one will care.

This show just makes me so physically upset. I hope the media outlets rip them a new one and take away their progressive card. I think Kurt would be fantastic in a lot of careers, but in the Gleeniverse, he's not allowed to have anything.

I need to see him succeed and be happy.
