I promise not to retcon my zombie mpreg fic so everyone is "already infected." I have my origin story. It's zombies of mass destruction in the midwest, ya'll!
The idea that everyone is already infected, or that all of the living, once dead, will rise and become zombies, is old school Romano, but TWD the comic uses it, too. I'm not sure what the origin is, then, unless this is a Happening and the trees did it.
Though I've tried to keep from copying the show (too much. considering it is the source material), having someone come around with a katana and zombie slaves is interesting! I just haven't as much excuse to explore the survivors, since Kurt and Blaine learned quickly to stay the fuck away from the living and the dead.
Actual thoughts on the show:
I am going to miss Shane, because he was such a good use of tension, and I think that Rick, ultimately, will be as bad if not worse than him. Hershal doesn't seem to care because he believes in the patriarchy and he seems to have decided that he's not fit to be the leader, so Rick is.
I was smugly happy to hear Lori, who had previously told Andrea to let the men handle protecting the camp, ask her to stay because they'd need her is Randal the hapless halfwit came to attack them. And I was gleeful that she survived, without anyone else, because it's nice to have one woman be tough as fuck among this group.
Glenn and Maggie. Aw. :/
I HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL FALL? Carl is going to be as tall as his father before this baby is born.
