Poor, poor Lex -- he loves Clark so much, and he's tried so hard to be someone Clark might be willing to love, and all Clark keeps doing is hurting him, over and over again. *hugs Lex and smacks Clark* At least Lex has Lena to help comfort him. Hmmmm. I don't suppose she might be inclined to confront Clark about the lousy job he's doing as a friend...? *runs to read second half of this chapter*

I've actually been trying to reel Lena in a bit. She's got a big mouth, and she's nosy to boot. She definitely WANTS to give Clark a piece of her mind!

Forgot to add that I'm very curious about the mutant the police hauled away (who was, I trust, liberated by Lex). What was she trying to do? What was it she needed? Will Lex be able to help her? *pets distraught mutant, who really didn't seem to mean any harm*
