This is just adorable! I love the image of Lex and Clark dancing and doing flashy bar tricks as they make up the coffee and ring up change, and their being oblivious for so long to what's happening between them is cute. (Still want to smack Lana for calling Lex a naked mole rat, though, and Whitney for thinking it was funny. *growls*) Is this the end of the story, or will there be more?

Thanks. It's kinda fun to write them when they're so young and in love! Clark makes a way better barista than Lana. He's adorable! Lana and Whitney really are just petty, empty people... they can have each other, then the real pretties (Clark and Lex) can have fun and snuggles!

Um, the end for now. If I get a bunny for how they're going to react to the realization of what's between them, I might do a sequel.

I just loved this! A more reasonable Jonathan, an exhausted Lex and thoughtful Clark. :-D I flashed on Cocktail with the behind the bar antics, then I remembered the coffee house my daughter worked at did something similar. Great fun!

I was thinking about the story again (mark of a good one) and pulled this up. http://www.spotcoffee.com/chevy.html, the shop my daughter worked at. They converted a beautiful art deco car dealership - a landmark in downtown Rochester into this fun after theatre/concert venue. She worked there nights for almost two years before school took too much of her attention.

That was so awesome. So awesome that I want MORE. I love the "Barista" idea and Clark coming out of his shell and he and Lex being the entertainment with the high schoolers. That was so cute.

The ending was great with so much room for more storytelling, like how Lana reacts to the fact that the Talon is even more of a success without her, and of course, more Clex.
