Death Note
Last night my friends and I went to the Death Note 2: The Last Name movie. In cosplay.
It was EPIC.
The movie was at 7:30, we planned to meet at IHOP to eat at 5:30. I got to Teresa's house, where we all got into our costumes, at 3:15 because I couldn't wait any longer. I was greeted by a very tall guy I hadn't met before dressed in a costume that, while hastily made, was decent quality and very familiar.
"HOLY SHIT. WE HAVE A RYUK!?!?"
I proceeded to put my costume on, then helped Ashley and Teresa with Ryuk's makeup, which was fun, even if certain people kept making Rocky Horror Picture Show references, with a few Joker jokes thrown in for good measure. Then Teresa put on her L costume, I glomped her, and we went to pick up our Near and Mello. Who also got glomped.
While we were gone, Ashley finished Ryuk's makeup and then put on her Misa costume. We got back to the apartment at 5:20 (luckily, Teresa lives about a minute away from IHOP.) I walk in the door, feel as if someone's watching me, turn around--and yelp and fall on my ass. Ryuk (and I'm calling him that cuz I can't remember his real name lol) had come up right behind me and was just standing there, grinning his creepy Ryuk grin. It was great, but a little creepy.
We go to IHOP and L and I put on our epic awesome handcuffs. This caused a few problems later, but since they were easily removed it wasn't too big a deal. At IHOP we met up with Matsuda (who ALSO got glomped.) We ate (and got the wait staff to sing happy birthday to Teresa) then headed to the movie.
The movie was great (I had a fangirl!!) and we were laughing and making jokes to each other the whole time (very quietly so we didn't disturb anyone else).
After the movie came pictures. Near and Mello and Matsuda all left before we took the majority of the pictures, sadly.

Light encounters a Shinigami for the first time.
L reveals just HOW he's going to keep Light under 24-7 surveillance. Misa is less than thrilled.
An attempt at the "God giving life to Adam" pose (symbolic of Ryuk giving the Shingamis' power to Light and Misa). Didn't turn out TOO bad, I guess...
