I've thought about this before, and I don't think the lack of book reviewers has anything to do with TGWTG producers not liking books. I mean, I'm sure some of them don't, but I would be very surprised to learn that none of them did.

Yeah, you have good points. And its not to say they don't like to read. I am sure they do (Linkara mentioned he used to read the Animorph books) and lots of other reviewers have read books. That is not what I was implying at at all, and I am sorry if it came off as that.

Personally, though, I think a book would be more difficult to review in any of the styles common to the site. After all, it takes significantly less time to watch a movie, listen to a song, or read a comic book than it does to read a novel, even a children's novel. Video games are comparable time-wise, but you don't have to finish a game to still do a decent review of it and personally I definitely think you would have to for a book.

I guess it would depend how fast and able they were to not only finish the book but asorb the details need to make a good review out of it.

Not to mention that for anything else the reviewer can show clips/images to emphasize their point, which you could never do with a book. I do think someone could pull off a decent book review series if they tried, but I don't think books lend themselves as well to a visual review.

I am sure with a children's picture book it could work, and some young adult novels have some illustrations in it. But as for adult novels and the like I can see what you mean.

I guess all it boils down to is that it would take a very talented person that could take a book and weave a good review video out of it for the site.

You made alot of good points awesome_emmy, I guess I was just feeling like a unheard vocal minority (that being the booknerds)and how as much as I love it when they review games, music, and movies I have fond memories of, it would be nice to relate to someone with as much a love of books as I did as a kid and the memories they had reading them just the same as I did with the anime, music, and movie reviewers on there.

I don't know how to put it...I guess I was just feeling like a odd duckling I guess. :)
